Kari creates amazing experiences in each workout, training session or professional education course she delivers. She draws her expertise from working with some of the most elite coaches in the world. As a former US National Team Swimmer and collegiate swim coach, she has trained at the highest levels and coached others to do the same. She uses her in-depth knowledge about the power of the body, physical training and mental toughness to create custom workouts. After leaving a collegiate coaching career of 11 years, Kari trained with TRX as an instructor, and went on to create and run her own custom TRX Boot Camps and movement-based classes all demographics. Kari presents nationally and internationally on business, swimming, and fitness. She is one of 20 Master Trainers in the US for San Francisco-based TRX Training, and she delivers TRX education courses to clubs and trainers on their behalf. Additionally, she designed a swimming-specific guide and technique clinic on the Suspension Trainer for athletes and coaches. Her goal is to help accomplished athletes perform at peak levels, as well as help fitness enthusiasts perform as athletes.
Kristen is a hardcore, seasoned athlete, coach, and group fitness instructor with BLAZE. Her expert cueing and coaching on the TRX Suspension Trainer are evident in each class, as are her wit and authenticity. Kristen specializes in our circuit- based INFERNO class and cranks up the heat so classes leave sweaty and sizzling with energy. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in Political Science and was also a co-captain and school record holder on the UW Swimming Team. She received academics honors all four years and a prestigious endowed scholarship her senior year. After college, she coached high school swimming, masters swimming and women’s weight training through the UW Sports Medicine Center. Kristen competed in numerous triathlons and currently dabbles in running events. She enjoys the amazing groups of people she trains and loves fostering a competitive drive in her classes.
Her thirst for knowledge is endless and her energy in her TRX FURY class is contagious! Lauren is an educator, an athlete, and a coach--the best combination you can ask for in a fitness instructor! Lauren graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BA in History and Psychology. She earned her teaching certification from Edgewood College and currently teaches at La Follette High School in Madison. She is heavily involved in youth athletics as she is the Head Swimming Coach for Middleton High School and the Middleton Gators. In 2011, Lauren was awarded the honor of NISCA Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year for Wisconsin. Aside from swimming, Lauren has extensive triathlon experience. She completed multiple triathlons, including 4 Ironman Wisconsin races, as well as many 10K and half marathons. Lauren’s keen coaching skills and high expectations carry over into the many BLAZE classes she leads. She is passionate about healthy living and her mission is to inspire people of all fitness levels to reach their maximum potential while having fun...and she's got the playlists to back that up!
A graceful mover and fierce competitor, Tracey moves as fluidly on land as she does on ice! She graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Marine Ecology where she was a four-year collegiate hockey player and co-captain. In 1998, she played professional hockey in Switzerland for the Zurich Cup Championship Team. Most notably, Tracey was the UW Women’s Hockey Assistant Coach for 11 years under Olympic Champion Mark Johnson and their women were National Champions four of twelve years. During this time, Tracey worked with numerous gold and silver medalist Olympic athletes. Additionally, Tracey taught Cross Training, Intro to Triathlon, and Sports Management through the UW Kinesiology Department. Tracey specializes in athletic-based movement training at TRX FUSION as well as RADIANT, our new TRX yoga flow class. She is an avid triathlete and completed Ironman-WI in 2006 and 2008, which is evident in her ‘work hard, have fun’ coaching philosophy.
